Important information regarding the entry of foreign nationals into Israel

The following conditions apply to all foreign nationals seeking entry into Israel, whether or not they require an entry visa:

In all cases, passports must be valid for at least six months from the intended date of entry.

A foreign national who was employed in Israel in the past, whether in agriculture, industry, construction, home nursing or other services, and who had no legal problems during such employment, may visit Israel only after at least one year has elapsed since leaving the country.

Foreign nationals in the following categories must check their status and receive permission to enter Israel prior to their arrival, in order to avoid a situation where they might be denied entry:

• persons who were expelled in the past from Israel;
• persons who illegally resided in Israel;
• persons who were refused entry in the past;
• persons who are coming to visit a foreign worker in Israel;
• persons who are relatives of a foreign worker in Israel.

Such status can be checked prior to arrival in Israel either at an Israeli diplomatic mission abroad or by the Israel Ministry of Interior.

IMMIGRATION VISAS
Matters relating to immigration (aliya) are usually handled by aliya emissaries of the Jewish Agency.
The Israeli mission will issue the immigration visa on the recommendation of the Jewish Agency representative, after the latter has concluded his part of the process.

VISITOR'S VISAS
Israel has agreements for the abolition of visa requirements with 65 countries. Nationals of countries without such agreements who wish to visit Israel must submit to the nearest Israeli mission a completed visa application form as well as photograph and his/hers travel document. Information about the need for a visa can be found at your local Israeli mission.

Please note that the grant of a visa by the State of Israel to a person bearing a foreign passport (national or official), does not necessarily imply recognition of the authority or entity that issued such passport.
