Meeting of Heads and Members of Committees for Talks on Interim Arrangements

Foreign Minister Sharon's directive to advance the negotiations on interim arrangements on the basis of full reciprocity, was the central subject of the meeting of heads and members of the negotiating committee on interim arrangements today (Thursday 24.12.98) at the Foreign Ministry. The meeting was chaired by the head of the Foreign Ministry Political Department.

Since the signing of the Wye Agreement, more than 30 meetings have taken place on the various subjects.

Israel's intention is to bring about real progress in the various areas of discussion.

In certain areas of the Committee's work, real progress has taken place.
