Foreign Minister Shalom holds meetings in Brussels

Minister of Foreign Affairs Silvan Shalom will hold a series of meetings with EU foreign ministers in Brussels to strengthen and solidify Israel's economic and diplomatic relations with Europe. Yesterday (November 16, 2003), Foreign Minister Shalom met with EU Foreign Minister Javier Solana and emphasized that both Europe and Israel must work together to advance their relationship, despite differences of opinion.

Today (November 17, 2003), FM Shalom is scheduled to meet with British FM Jack Straw and French FM Dominique de Villepin. He will also meet with the foreign ministers of Sweden, Denmark and Portugal. This evening, Foreign Minister Shalom will make a presentation to the 25 EU foreign ministers for the annual Association Meeting, discussing ways to deepen economic cooperation.

Tomorrow (November 18, 2003), the Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State Colin Powell.
