Response to remarks by Mikis Theodorakis
(Communicated by the Foreign Ministry Spokesman)
The Israeli public rejects with revulsion the antisemitic remarks expressed by Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis and regrets that the remarks were made by such a prominent figure. Israel is confident that the remarks do not reflect the views of the government of Greece and expects that the Greek leaders and intellectuals will condemn and disassociate themselves from them.
