Conference of Israeli Ambassadors to Western Europe

26 Dec 2004
In light of the importance of Israel's relations with Europe, the Foreign Minister has invited all of Israel's ambassadors posted in Europe to a special conference in Israel.

(Communicated by the Foreign Ministry Spokesman)

In light of the importance of Israel's relations with Europe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has invited all of Israel's ambassadors posted in Europe to a special conference in Israel. This meeting, the first of its kind, will review events in Europe and provide a first-hand update on all political, economic, and security subjects that Israel is likely to face in the coming year.

The conference will convene on Monday, 27 December, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Silvan Shalom, in the city of Sderot, as a gesture of identification with the residents of that city.

Israel's ambassadors to Europe will meet with the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister, the IDF Chief of Staff, the Heads of the Security Services, and other military, political and economic figures. They will also have a tour of the anti-terrorist fence and briefings by IDF officers.
