Deputy FM Whbee meets with Vietnamese Deputy Science Minister

They discussed way to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the areas of science and research.

Deputy Foreign Minister Majalli Whbee met on Tuesday (17 June) with the Deputy Minister of Science of Vietnam Le Dinh Tien. They discussed way to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the areas of science and research, as a basis for economic cooperation. The annual scope of bilateral trade between Israel and Vietnam currently stands at 160 million dollars, and the potential of economic ties has not yet been maximalized.

A bilateral agreement on the protection of investments will be signed in the near future, following the signing in January 2008 of an agreement between the two countries on dual taxation. Deputy FM Whbee expressed his confidence that relations between the two countries will flourish into true partnership.
