FM Livni visits Qatar

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affaris Tzipi Livni left on Sunday (13 April) for Doha, the capital of Qatar, in the Persian Gulf, where she will address the 8th Doha Forum on Democracy, Development, and Free Trade (13-15 April) being held under the auspices of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar (Monday, 14 April). Some 600 government representatives, parliamentarians, academicians, journalists, businessmen and representatives of organizations from around the world, including Arab states, will participate in the discussions.

During her visit, FM Livni will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders of the Arab Emirates and others, visit national sites, and lecture to students in international schools.

FM Livni met for the first time publicly with the at his residence in Doha. Israel and Oman do not have official relations. She will meet later with Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan.
