Israel strongly condemns the terror attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul

8 Jul 2008

D-G Abramovich strongly condemns the suicide attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul, in which 41 civilians were killed and over 140 injured.

(Communicated by the Foreign Ministry Spokesman)

Foreign Ministry Director General Aaron Abramovich, currently on an official visit to India, has issued a strong condemnation of the suicide attack on the Indian embassy in Afghanistan.

"Israel strongly condemns the horrendous terrorist attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul, which killed so many innocent civilians, including staff members of the embassy", stated D-G Abramovitch.

"There is not now, nor can there ever be, any justification for this reprehensible act of terror. As a country that has suffered from fundamentalist Islamic terror for a long period of time, Israel fully understands the necessity of coordinated international efforts against the organizations that carry out these murderous operations and the countries that support them".

Director General Abramovich extended his sincere condolences to the families of those murdered in the attack, and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
