The strategic dialogue between Israel and the United Kingdom is being held today (Wednesday, 14 October 2009) in Jerusalem, and is headed by FCO Permanent Under-Secretary and Head of the Diplomatic Service Peter Ricketts and MFA Director General Yossi Gal.
The strategic dialogue is a central component in the long tradition of close bilateral relations enjoyed by the two countries.
The discussions, in which delegates from several government agencies from both countries are participating, include a wide range of regional matters that are the focus of the strategic agenda.
This high-level strategic dialogue is being held for the second time, and will be continued in the future, in addition to the normal and intensive relationship which exists between the two countries.
