Addressing the Tenth Annual Herzliya Conference today (Monday, 1 February 2010), Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon stated that "Our relationship with the United States has never been better or deeper. The relationship should be examined according to the level of economic and defense cooperation, and not only in regard of the Palestinian conflict."

Regarding the negotiations with the Palestinians, Deputy FM Ayalon stated that "All the coalition partners in the current government desire peace, and all are waiting for the Palestinians to sit down at the negotiations table."

Deputy FM Ayalon added that "The fact that distinguishes the United States is that it has maintained a good relationship with Israel over the years, and does not automatically support the Arabs."
