Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman spoke at a reception for Foreign Ministry staff members who are attending a workshop in Brussels on the subject of the European Union. FM Liberman said that the EU is in the process of boosting its status in the international arena. He also said that this is a critical time for the Middle East and for Israel and that we are closely following developments in Iran and in other conflict areas in the Middle East.
Liberman said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must lead the way in confronting the challenges facing Israel today, first and foremost the organized campaign to delegitimize Israel using international bodies and legal claims against Israelis traveling abroad.
