MASHAV, Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation, in cooperation with Israel Police, is currently holding in Kibbutz Shfaim its first course on the police-community relationship to reduce violence.
Participants in the course include senior police officers from several countries of the former Soviet Union, such as Russia, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Georgia.
The goal of the course is to develop a model that will create a framework for volunteers to cooperate with the police, to ensure the personal safety of community residents, and to develop models for policing the community in collaboration with the police system.
During the course, the participants will visit various police units and installations.
