Yediot Aharonot asserts that "The peace camp was not destroyed by Yigal Amir, but rather by Ehud Barak when he announced conclusively that a partner did not exist.  It was comfortable for Israeli society to embrace a perception that relieved it of any responsibility."

Ma'ariv contends that "Only one thing ties [Yaakov] Teitel to the population among which he lives: Judea and Samaria is no-man's land vis-a-vis law and order."

Yisrael Hayom warns that "The findings of a published survey regarding non-orthodox American Jews point to apathy towards Israel amongst the younger generation."

Walla! opines that "In Israel not all are equal before the law.  And if you are perpetrating criminal misdeeds – it's preferable to be left-wing."

The Jerusalem Post compares community reaction to Jewish and Arab terrorists, and notes that, in contrast to Arab communities that spawned terrorists, "Settler spokesmen - as well as the rank and file, including the ideologically hardline and Orthodox - are not glorifying the crimes Teitel is alleged to have perpetrated." The editor calls on both sides to put an end to violence: "Now is the time for communal leaders to demarcate anew an indelible red line against violence - whether directed at Arabs or Jews."

Haaretz states that "In its decision to delay the deportation of the foreign workers' children until August, the government avoided making a decision," and adds that this procrastination "… is an outrageous weakness that is endangering Israeli society and its economy." The editor feels that "it is time to stop importing cheap manpower and to impose more severe punishments on those who employ workers without a permit. Perhaps Israel will then be able to allow limited and high-quality migration. Meanwhile, the revolving door that harms both foreigners and Israelis must be stopped."
