Yediot Aharonot opines that "[Tamir] Pardo, as the eleventh Director of the Mossad, is a suitable appointment to the post.  Pardo has made a long journey in a line of operational assignments in the Mossad and integrates excellent operational and technical knowledge."  The author says that "Only time will tell, but in the meantime, we will say from here that Pardo is the man who can thrust the Mossad forward and we wish him success.  His success is security and peace of mind for us all."

Ma'ariv argues that "A demographic earthquake is underway here.  We are in the era of mass migrations, the proportions of which have long since surpassed the extent of Jewish immigration."  The author contends that "A Government which does not succeed in implementing a simple decision to repatriate the children of 400 [illegal] migrant workers, will not succeed in implementing a real solution to the infiltration problem."

Yisrael Hayom also refers to the appointment of Tamir Pardo as Mossad Director.  "The bottom line is that the Mossad has benefitted.  The selection process lasted too long, the candidates' nerves were frayed, but the results attest to a successful appointment: Tamir Pardo is the right person to take over from Meir Dagan."

Haaretz declares that "WikiLeaks revelations are neither shocking nor terrible,", and states that "Every leader and official who is supposed to tell his constituents and his nation the truth will now know that the day or hour will come when his secrets will be known."
