(Communicated by Tourism Ministry Foreign Press Liaison)
The first meeting on the "lowest park in the world" project took place

It was decided that all parties will present these plans as well as
their recommendations for the park's logo, symbol and signposts by the
middle of June 1996. It was further agreed that each party will designate
20 sites of particular interest to tourists. The parties also agreed to
devise a course connecting attractions, via boat, on both the Israeli and
Jordanian shores.
Representing the Israeli Ministry of Tourism at the meeting were Mordechai
Benari, Director of International Relations; Dedi Harnik, Director-General
of the Israel Government Tourist Corporation, and; Ze'ev Temkin, project
coordinator.
The Americans announced that they are prepared to train special teams to
market the park, and to train guides and leaders for the site.
