Cabinet Communique
At the weekly Cabinet meeting:
A) The Cabinet held a discussion on the situation in Lebanon and the negotiations for the evacuation of the terrorists.
Inter alia, the Prime Minister read the Ministers his exchange of letters with President Reagan.
The Cabinet deliberated and in conclusion decided on answers that will be given to Ambassador Habib this afternoon at 17.00 hours.
The answers will be made public after they are submitted to the American delegation.
Later the answers were made public:
1. The Cabinet discussed the responses conveyed by Ambassador Habib and its position towards them.
2. The Government insists that a check be made of the lists of terrorists to leave Beirut and Lebanon.
3. The Syrian soldiers in Beirut must leave Beirut and Lebanon together with the personnel of the terrorist organizations associated with Syria.
4. The entry of the units of the multi-national force into the terrorists' departure areas will be in accordance with the plan presented to the representatives of the government.
5. The Israeli pilot and the missing persons will be handed over to the International Red Cross before the beginning of the terrorists' departure from Beirut and Lebanon.
