PM's Office Response to Low Inflation

Jerusalem, January 16, 2000
The Prime Minister's Office responded Friday, 14.1.2000, to the
publication of the 1999 CoL Index (just 1.3%), stating that this is
the result of responsible economic policies that place Israel among
the first rank of the world's advanced nations and will continue thi
s year as well.
The annual index has revived trust in the Israeli economy, brought
investment and renewed growth that will create hundreds of thousands of
jobs and enable the government to invest in education, welfare, health
and reducing social gaps.
