President Katsav Condemns Anti-Semitic Incidents - 24-Oct-2000

President Katsav Condemns Anti-Semitic Incidents around the World

In light of the recent spate of anti-Semitic incidents which has broken out around the world, President Moshe Katsav expresses his concern over such events, which recall darker periods in the not-too-distant past. President Katsav condemns these incidents and calls on world leaders to closely monitor, and unequivocally condemn, them.

President Katsav has sent letters to his fellow heads of state in countries which have witnessed these destructive phenomena, namely France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and Uzbekistan. In his letters, President Katsav expresses both his aforementioned concern and the confidence that the respective governments will do their utmost to suppress such phenomena.
