DM Ben-Eliezer offers any aid that may be required to US Defense Secretary Rumsfeld

Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer today (Wednesday), September 12, 2001, spoke with US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and expressed the sorrow of the people of Israel in light of the terror disaster that has befallen the American nation.

Defense Minister Ben-Eliezer offered any aid that may be required whether it be search and rescue of survivors at the disaster sites or in the intelligence and defense field. The Defense Minister said that "Israel is a partner of the United States in its war against terrorism."

Defense Secretary Rumsfeld responded that he values Israel's concern, its stand in support of the United States and its offer of aid.
