Travel restrictions in the West Bank following the recent wave of terrorist attacks
(Communicated by the IDF Spokesman)

Following the terrorist attacks of this past week and, particularly, in the aftermath of the terrorist massacres of the last twenty-four hours in Jerusalem and Haifa, and the warnings of further such attacks, the IDF will be cordoning off the Palestinian towns in the West Bank.

All Palestinian traffic on the roads of the West Bank outside of Area A and the villages in Areas B and C will be curtailed. Exceptions will be made for humanitarian cases, the transportation of food, fuel and other basic commodities (using the existing cargo terminal infrastructure).

The IDF Spokesperson emphasizes that this policy is necessary due to the numerous warnings of imminent terrorist attacks, and the failure of the Palestinian Authority to take action against terrorists and to prevent these attacks.

The IDF will take all necessary measures to prevent terrorist attacks, and to provide security for Israeli citizens.
