PM Sharon sends condolences to Eban family

On behalf of the Israeli people and government, Prime Minister Ariel
Sharon yesterday , sent his sincerest condolences to
Susie Eban and the Eban family on the passing of Abba Eban.
With his loss, one of the country's founding statesmen - who, more than
any other statesman of his era, left both his and Israel's impression in
the consciousness of the international community - has been taken from
us. Abba Eban's rich legacy and life's work are proof, especially at
this time, that it is very important, "not only what the Jews do, but
how they explain their actions." At this, Abba Eban excelled; he will
be sorely missed, especially at this time.
