(Communicated by the IDF Spokesman)

Following the decision of the government and as part of the completion of negotiations to return the bodies of the fallen IDF soldiers, the IDF and Israel Prison Authority released today 429 security prisoners and administrative detainees, residents of Judea and Samaria, the Gaza strip and foreign countries.

The release of security prisoners and administrative detainees has been carried out following completion of the process of identifying the bodies of the IDF soldiers, Staff Sgt. Binyamin Abraham, Staff Sgt. Adi Avitan, and Staff Sgt. Omar Sawaid.

Following their release, the foreign prisoners had been flown from Israel to Germany where they will be released simultaneously with the Palestinian prisoners and detainees. The Palestinian detainees and prisoners will be transported and released at a number of different points in the Judea and Samaria and the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the bodies of 60 Lebanese decedents and members of Hizbullah will be relocated from the IDFs cemetery of the fallen enemy to Lebanon, in coordination with the Red Cross and via the international border crossing in Rosh-Hanikra.
