National Management Center opens in the north

On instructions from Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, a national management center was opened today (Tuesday), 25 July 2006, in northern Israel under the direction of Prime Minister's Office Director-General Ra'anan Dinur. 
The center will coordinate the provision of necessary assistance and solutions at this time to residents of the north. It will also create an updated daily picture of the situation, which will be delivered to Prime Minister Olmert and the directors-general of the government ministries in order to help them deal with problems that arise, enable decision-makers to analyze the situation in real-time and coordinate the ministries' activities in assisting residents of the north.

The center is likely to operate until the end of current events; it is understood that various events will affect its operations.
