Overnight, (Tuesday, Aug 1, 2006), the IDF carried out an aerial attack on a structure used by the Hamas terror organization to store weaponry in the El Bureij refugee camp, in the central Gaza strip. After the attack a number of secondary explosions occurred at the site, as a result of the weapons found in the facilities.
Naval forces also operated during the night to thwart of terror threats, targeting a structure and a vessel which are a part of the infrastructure used by terrorists to smuggle weaponry and carry out terror attacks.
