PM Olmert speaks with Jordanian King Abdullah

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, this afternoon (Monday), 18 June 2007, during his visit to Washington DC, spoke with Jordanian King Abdullah II in order to exchange views on the latest developments in the Palestinian Authority (PA).

The Prime Minister updated the king on Israel’s intentions to cooperate with the emergency government being set up by PA President Abu Mazen and to assist it economically and in other ways.  The two men agreed to continue their dialogue after Prime Minister Olmert returns from his visit to the US.

In the meantime, King Abdullah said that Jordan would continue its assistance to the PA and its government.
