Gilad Shalit in videotape received on October 2.

2 Oct 2009
On Friday, October 2, 2009, Israel received a videotape of Gilad Shalit speaking.

PM Netanyahu said that the footage is important because it verifies Gilad Shalit's situation and determines that Hamas is absolutely responsible for his health and well-being.

On June 25, 2006, Gilad Shalit was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists within Israeli territory, near the Kerem Shalom crossing to the Gaza Strip in an unprovoked and well-planned attack in which two soldiers were killed and five others wounded. Gilad is one of seven ISRAELI MIAs.

Documented proof of Iranian complicity in arms smuggling to terrorists

4 Nov 2009
On Tuesday November 3, a special Israel Navy force intercepted and boarded the cargo ship "Francop". Some 500 tons of weapons, rockets, and missiles were uncovered aboard the vessel, disguised as civilian cargo and hidden among hundreds of other containers.

The weapons originate from Iran, and were intended for the Hizbullah terror organization, for use against Israel. They constitute a harsh violation of UN Security Council Resolutions 1747 and 1701 that strictly forbid Iran from exporting or trading any form of weapons.

Iran: Statements by Israeli leaders - Nov 2009
16 Nov 2009
PM Netanyahu: "Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons threatens our security, peace in the Middle East and global stability. With nuclear weapons, its powers of destruction, already considerable, would grow immensely."

PM Netanyahu: "The navy captured a ship that was carrying a vast quantity of ordnance, which had been sent by the Iranian regime from the port of Bandar Abbas to Syria. From there it was due to be delivered to Hizbullah. The main component of this war materiel was rockets whose sole objective was to attack and kill as many civilians - women, children and the elderly - as possible. This is a war crime."
