Comprised of laboratories for the Faculty of Life Sciences, this building expresses an architectural dialogue between its restrained interiors and the dynamic surroundings of the campus. While the curved facade which fronts the parking lot functions as a protective buffer, the open rear of the U-shaped
building links to the pedestrian walkways. In the plaza, differences in levels are blurred by the use of lively colors and geometric shapes, which express the abstract image of the unbounded world of research.
