Modi'in, 1995

The new city of Modi'in was planned with an emphasis on communal life - an ideological goal expressed in the placement of schools and other civic functions in central valleys, allowing residential quarters to overlook them from the hillsides. The deployment of this school echoes the town's planning principles. Here, various functions are organized along a central spine acting as a main shaft which defines the relations
between the buildings. The fresh medley of shapes, color, and detailing, moderate the conventional institutional concept of school buildings.
