The International Style, prevalent all over the world of the 1930's, gave
birth in Tel Aviv to a unique collection of locally oriented buildings,
many of which are crying out for renovation after sixty years of service.
Modern times and changes in the urban concept dictate that expansion be
included in any renovation. As long as the original architectural code is
maintained, the rehabilitation process can take advantage of the
uniqueness of the building and the limited freedom to expand as allowed by
the Municipality. In this renovation on Melchett Street, three storeys
were added to the original structure.
