This 1996 Rechter Prize winner exemplifies unique sensitivity to the topography and its surrounding architectural context. Within the enormous academic complex of Mount Scopus, the modest articulation along the hillside is especially noticeable.

In the center of this Mormon university campus is the sloping auditorium which unifies the building's eight levels. From this main hall (likewise from other spaces within the structure) it is possible to view Jerusalem's Old City.

The wooden lattice work softens the harsh light penetrating the building, decorating the courtyards and gardens, in which branches actually weave their way, becoming an identifying feature of the building.
