| The greater part of the interior space of this museum of the pre-State, Jewish underground organization is appropriately buried, and thus the main expression of the structure becomes an experiential sequence in the landscape.
The retaining walls gently wrap around a central courtyard, with existing trees as its focus, calling attention to the sensitive landscaping gestures towards this elevated site overlooking the sea. |
| As the plan of the building reflects the natural form of the site, the elevation mirrors the stepped character of the terrain. Beyond its powerful sculptural presence, the building houses a variety of cultural activities such as a four hundred seat auditorium, a youth center, a cafeteria and support offices. | |
