| Civilizations that have passed through this corner of the world have left their mark on local architecture. | buildings, and luxury hotels built in the last two decades. Modern-day architects have tried to create an Israeli style which blends East and West, as well as past, present and future. Their use of new materials in imaginative ways can be seen in numerous public buildings such as universities and museums, as well as in structures for private and commercial enterprises.
