   AT LEISURE

People generally work five days a week, and have much leisure time for entertainment including movies, theater and concerts, shopping in the huge new indoor malls, like the one in Jerusalem which is

the largest in the Middle East, and in the outdoor fruit and vegetable markets, such as Carmel in Tel Aviv and Mahaneh Yehuda in Jerusalem. During more than half the year, including the long school vacation in mid-summer, millions flock to the beaches on the Mediterranean Coast, or the Red Sea, or even the Dead Sea.
