Griffon Vultures are thought to be resident birds, but marking them in Israel with satellite transmitters showed that they do not recognize political borders. One of these vultures was located by the satellite wandering to Turkey.

Israel has become famous among bird-watchers, and thousands flock here annually to enjoy the combination of sunshine and the seasonal migration.

   DAILY JOURNEY  ENDS  AT  DUSK
 
 
At dusk, around sunset, a flock of Black Kites descends to rest. Their daily journey is ended but the great saga of their migration continues, as it has done for millions of years.
