  "Peace for Children"
Embassy of Israel, Hanoi

In order to strengthen international friendship, the awareness of the importance of peace and to contribute to the cultural spirit of Hanoi's children, the Embassy of Israel in Hanoi and Hanoi Children's Palace organized a children's painting contest on "Peace for Children". The painting contest is one of the cultural activities celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Independence of the State of Israel.

The participation of Hanoi's children in the contest was impressive, with about 14,000 pictures submitted. According to an official of Hanoi Children's Palace, this contest involved one of the largest amount of participants ever. Forty first prizes, forty second prizes, one hundred third prizes, ten team prizes and another one hundred consolation prizes were presented.

The winning pictures were displayed at the Hanoi Children's Palace, and other locations in Hanoi, such as the Hospital for Pediatrics, libraries, and kindergartens. Some of the winning pictures will be exhibited in Israel.

From the winning pictures, we have chosen the following three to display on the Internet:
