Joint Press Statement on 11th Round of Foreign Office Consultations between India and Israel

Israeli and Indian delegations met in New Delhi for the 11th round of Foreign Affairs Consultations between India and Israel. The two teams discussed bilateral, multilateral, and regional issues, including the situation in South Asia and the Middle East

The 11th round of Foreign Affairs Consultations between India and Israel was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in New Delhi on 23 January 2008. The Indian delegation was headed by Shri N. Ravi, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs, while the Israeli delegation was headed by Ambassador Ruth Kahanoff, Deputy Director General for Asia and the Pacific in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.

During the consultations, both sided highlighted the excellent relations between the two countries in all fields. The two sides had a wide ranging and constructive exchange of views on bilateral, multilateral, and regional issues, including the situation in South Asia and the Middle East. Both sides discussed a variety of ideas and initiatives in order to further enhance relations in fields such as economy and commerce, agriculture, culture and science, tourism etc. Discussions were also held on a variety of consular issues that are of importance to both countries. Secretary Shri Ravi and Ambassador Kahanoff expressed their countries' commitment to strengthen and diversify bilateral relations between India and Israel.
