The Save a Child's Heart's (SACH) 'From Art to Heart' International Photography Exhibition will be officially launched on Wednesday, February 27th at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. The exhibition features the works of seven talented photographers, each inspired by their personal experiences with SACH.

'From Art to Heart' documents the humanitarian activities of Save a Child’s Heart which has treated over 1800 children from 29 different countries. On occasion, inspired photographers have joined the organization in Israel and abroad, capturing the touching stories of children from around the world, representing a wide variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds, who come to Israel for life-saving heart surgery.
The guest speakers for the evening include: Mr. Haim Divon, Deputy Director General, Head of the Center for International Cooperation (MASHAV); Mr. Noam Katz, Director of Information Department and Mr. Gil Haskel, Head of NGO Unit, Division for UN & International Organizations, MFA, as well as Dr. Lior Sasson, Chief Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon and Head of Cardiothoracic Department at Wolfson Medical Center and Mr. Eli Gross, Exhibition Curator.
The exhibition will be displayed at Israeli embassies, consulates and cities around the world as part of Israel’s 60th anniversary celebrations and Save a Child’s Heart’s 13th year of operations. It is already scheduled to tour the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil as well as Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia, over the next 12 months.
Save a Child's Heart
Save a Child's Heart is a humanitarian organization that provides life-saving heart surgeries for children from developing countries regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or gender. The SACH medical team of highly skilled doctors, nurses and paramedics, has now grown to 70 members, and has operated on hundreds of children, with an astounding success rate of 96%. All the children, regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or religion are treated free of charge with the finest medical care at the cutting edge of technology, provided by Save A Child's Heart in co-operation with the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, Israel.
Since its inception in 1996, SACH has treated thousands of children from partner countries including: Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria, Moldova, Vietnam and China. Almost half of all the children treated at SACH are Palestinian or from Arab countries including Jordan and Iraq. Follow-up care and comprehensive medical training are also an integral part of SACH’s core mission and activities.
Currently, SACH is treating eight children from Zanzibar, three children from Kenya, two children from Ethiopia, as well as eight children from Iraq and a dozen children from West Bank and Gaza.
