Holiday Greetings from the Holy Land

Israel Postal Authority
November 12, 1997

This coming holiday season you have the opportunity to mail to your family, friends and acquaintances, Christmas and New Year cards that will be treasured for years to come. This year send your cards from Nazareth of the Holy Land.

Imagine the excitement when your loved ones receive their cards stamped with a special Christmas label, an authentic cancellation* from the city of Jesus' youth and a gold "Via Nazareth" sticker. Nazareth -- where the Basilica stands built on the traditional site of the annunciation of the birth of Jesus, and the site where Jesus as a young man preached.

The Israel Postal Authority is pleased to offer you the opportunity to mail your holiday cards from Nazareth without leaving home. Simply follow these easy directions:

  • Prepare all your holiday cards as usual - sign each card, seal it in an envelope and address it. (Remember, the cards will be air mailed from Israel so include the country of destination in the address.) Do not stamp the envelopes.

  • Insert all the envelopes (minimum of 10) into a large envelope or parcel.

  • Enclose a check, 60 American cents or the equivalent in your local currency per card, payable to the Israel Postal Authority. Mail the Parcel to:

    Nazareth Post Office
    P.O. Box 777
    16100 Nazareth
    Israel

Upon receipt we will stamp and postmark each card and air mail it to its destination. Please mail your cards to us in advance so that we can process and mail them in time to reach the addressees for the holiday season.
