Cabinet Approves Sharm Agreement Redeployment Map

The Cabinet today (Wednesday) 8.9.99, approved the map for the next
stage of the redeployment according to the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement
and based on the Wye River Accord. The map was prepared by the
special ministerial committee headed by Tourism Minister Amnon
Lipkin-Shahak and approved by Prime Minister and Defense Minister
Ehud Barak.
The Cabinet approved the map by a vote of 17-1 (Construction and
Housing Minister Yitzhak Levy), with one abstention (Interior
Minister Natan Sharansky) and with four ministers (all from Shas)
absent from the meeting.
