Agreement Reached on Redeployment

Jerusalem, 4 January, 2000
The steering committee to implement the interim agreement's
negotiating teams lead by Atty. Oded Eran and Dr. Saeb Erekat for
the Israeli and Palestinian sides respectively, met today (Tuesday)
4.1.2000.
Today's meeting agreed on a solution regarding the 5% redeployment.
Tonight OC Center Major General Moshe Yaalon for Israel and Hajj
Ismail for the Palestinian Authority will sign the maps.
Today's agreement will be signed with the understanding that the
next stage of the second redeployment will be implemented as set in
the agreement, in two and a half weeks.
