Egyptian couples at Kibbutz Bror Hail
|
|
by Mrs. Sabah 'Abd al-Qadir
The author of this poem on peace and her husband, from Marsi Matrouh in
Egypt, were among the 21 Egyptian couples who graduated in September,
1998, from a course on Agricultural Management. The aim was to enhance
the role of the woman in managing the farm.
Day of Peace! You shine
the best glad tidings for mankind.
You dawn every year,
a symbol of love and harmony.
You are the best memorable emissary.
Your memory is the crown of years.
Your flash charms the eyes.
It removes gloominess and darkness.
Day of peace! You shine.
You are the best memorable emissary.
Your memory is the crown of years
and your flash charms the eyes.
It removes gloominess and darkness.
Day of Peace! You shine.
Egypt, Israel and the Arab world
rejoice in your being and safety.
Long live Peace
