I greet you once again with great happiness and gratitude after
receiving Shalom Magazine, which enables me to relive the pleasant
moments I shared with all my classmates during the course "Women in
Trade Unions and Cooperative Development," which took place at Abraham
Alon International Institute, Beit Berl, Kfar Saba, from January
24-March 16, 1993.
My studies there have been very beneficial to the work and social circles
in which I operate. I am still working as nurse in my Aruba Cooperative
(Cooperativa de la Reforma Agraria de Aruba, R.L.) and I recently
celebrated 15 years in the nursing profession. The cooperative's main
branch is coffee growing, followed by beekeeping. It has 28 associates and
is located 600 metres above sea level.
This past January, 1997, I experienced great happiness after graduating as
an Early Childhood Education Teacher from El Salvador's Francisco Gavidia
Private University. The time I spent there has been very important, full of
new experiences. I met teachers who were trained in Israel in Early
Childhood Education, and they shared material they brought from Israel for
teaching the course called Theory and Practice of Group Interaction.
I hope to continue receiving your important magazine. I believe I will not
be able to return to Israel, and Shalom Magazine makes me feel as if I was
there again.
From my small country, El Salvador, I send fraternal greetings to you and
your staff, to the teachers at Abraham Alon Institute, and to all my
classmates - I invite you all to maintain our communication. May God bless
you and the land of Israel.
