Dov Rosman
Aug 26, 2001 - Dov Rosman, 58, of Netanya was killed in a shooting attack shortly before 17:00 near the entrance to the village of Zaita, opposite Kibbutz Magal.
Dov Rosman, who sold fabrics, had apparently gone to the Palestinian town of Zaita, which is in Area B and under Israeli security control, on business. It appears that terrorists knew of his arrival and set up an ambush, shooting him at point-blank range as he sat in his parked van near the western entrance to the village.
Friends related that despite outbreak of violence and terrorism, Dov Rosman continued to maintain good relations with his Palestinian acquaintances, and believed that by continuing to do business with them he was contributing to the co-existence necessary to achieve peace. A family friend related, "When people warned him not to do business with Arabs, his response was that they also needed to be able to earn a living."
Dov Roseman was laid to rest in Netanya. He is survived by his mother, his wife, three children - Eran, Mimi and Mital - and two grandchildren.
