Dec 2, 2001 - Yitzhak Ringel, 41, of Haifa, was one of 15 people killed in a suicide bombing on an Egged bus No. 16 in Haifa.

The bombing occurred shortly after noon, when a Hamas suicide bomber boarded an Egged No. 16 bus traveling from the Neveh Sha'anan district, paid the driver with a large bill, then blew himself up as the driver asked him to collect his change.

Yitzhak Ringel lived alone in the apartment left to him by his parents after their death. He became religious a few years and frequented the synagogue in the Neveh Sha'anan quarter.

Yitzhak Ringel was buried in Haifa. He is survived by his brother.
