Maj -res- Moshe Gerstner

Apr 3, 2002 - Maj. (res.) Moshe Gerstner, 29, of Rishon Lezion was killed during an exchange of fire in Jenin (Operation Defensive Shield).

Maj. (res.) Moshe Gerstner was the eldest of four brothers and served as a model for them. Said his brother Shlomi, "I will always remember your kindness, honesty and fairness."

Moshe served in the Givati Brigade. His commander described him as a dedicated, brave and loyal fighter. "You were one of the reserve soldiers who are the army of the people, one of those who bear the burden of the security and defend with their bodies our right to live in this country.

Maj. (res.) Moshe Gerstner was buried in the military section of the Rishon Lezion cemetery. He is survived by his wife Michal.
