Mar 9, 2002 - Limor Ben-Shoham, 27, of Jerusalem was one of 11 people killed when a suicide bomber exploded at 22:30 PM Saturday night in a crowded cafe at the corner of Aza and Ben-Maimon streets in the Rehavia neighborhood in the center of Jerusalem.

The bomber walked into the Cafe Moment, located about 100 meters from the prime minister's residence, and detonated a powerful explosive charge that completely gutted the restaurant. The cafe was teeming with dozens of people at the time of the attack. Limor Ben-Shoham was one of 11 people killed and 54 injured in the explosion.

Limor to the Cafe Moment went with friends every Saturday, and she celebrated her birthday there just two weeks ago. She had many friends, most of them still from her high school days in Gilo, where she had served on the student counciil. Lately, she had been working in an office supplies shop. Her friends described her as "a creative and optimistic person who always appreciated things and didn't take them for granted."

Limor Ben-Shoham was laid to rest in the Givat Shaul cemetery in Jerusalem. She is survived by her parents, Tzipora and Shlomo, and four siblings - Yaron, Nir, Benzi, and Orit.
