  Amiram Zmora

Jan 5, 2003 - Amiram Zmora, 55, of Holon, was one of 23 people killed two suicide bombers blew themselves up on a pedestrian mall in Tel Aviv's Naveh Sha'anan neighborhood near the old central bus station.

Fatah's Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack, which apparently was assisted by Islamic Jihad.

Amira Zmora, who worked in data security, had just phoned his family with the good news that he was not going to be one of some 900 workers fired by Bank Hapoalim, and was on his way home to celebrate with them when he was killed.

"I'll miss his smile," said his friend and neighbor, attorney Shai Lev-Ari. "He was an exemplary family man, quiet and down to earth, who was very concerned about the education of his children."

Amiram Zmora was buried at the Yarkon Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Ronit, and sons Niv, 21, and Guy, 17.
