Jan 5, 2003 - Ramin Nasibov, 25, of Tel Aviv, was one of 23 people killed when two suicide bombers blew themselves up on a pedestrian mall in Tel Aviv's Naveh Sha'anan neighborhood near the old central bus station.

Fatah's Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack, which apparently was assisted by Islamic Jihad.

Ramin Nasibov, who immigrated with his family from Georgia in 1998, made his living selling cellphones at a shop in the old bus station, where he was killed.

"He loved to hike, to dance, and to have lots of fun," said Zohara Dadosh, a cousin. "Apparently after the first explosion he wanted to see what had happened, and he went out of the store and was hit."

"Ramin got engaged a few months ago to a girl who is studying in Russia, and was supposed to get married in a big wedding this summer," said another cousin.

Nasibov's mother, Sara Ya'akobov, had returned to Israel on Sunday morning from her father-in-law's funeral in their native village in Georgia. She did not manage to see Ramin before he was killed.

Ramin Nasibov was buried in Georgia, alongside his brother, who drowned when he was 10. He is survived by his parents, Sara and Razim, and a sister, Gila, 15.
