LEBANON SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE TO MEET TOMORROW

(Communicated by IDF Spokesman)

Tomorrow (Thursday) 15.08.96, the Supervisory Committee for implimenting the understandings achieved following Operation "Grapes of Wrath," will meet at Naqura. The meeting is being convened in response to a complaint by Israel concerning a breach of the understandings, which was part of an attack which occurred yesterday west of the village of A-Taiba, in the central sector of the Security Zone.

During the attack, a group of Hizbullah terrorists fired at a civilian vehicle from close range, killing a 50 year old Lebanese civilian. Another group of terrorists then fired mortars from beside a school in the village of Ka'akiyat Al-Jesr, to cover the withdrawal of the first group of terrorists.
