  Irena Usdachi

June 1, 2001 - Irena Usdachi, 18, of Holon, was one of 21 people killed in a suicide bombing at a Tel-Aviv discotheque shortly before midnight on Friday night.

Irena Usdachi, an only child, immigrated to Israel with her mother from the Ukraine four years ago, when her parents separated. She celebrated her 18th birthday just a week ago.

Irena was an 11th-grader at Holon's Herzog high school and also worked after school. School principal Ruti Tendler said Irena was a remarkably industrious, intelligent girl, who had chosen a difficult course of study in Russian language and literature.

Irena was buried in the Yarkon cemetery in Tel-Aviv.
